Spec development to meet strong growth demands in the region
AMSTERDAM (December 6, 2018) – Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD) Prologis, Inc., the global leader in logistics real estate, today announced the start of a 11,000 square meter distribution center (DC2B) at Prologis Fokker Logistics Park. The building is a speculative project and is scheduled to become available to customers in the third quarter of 2019. Prologis held a festive ceremony at which the first pile was symbolically driven into the ground.
DC2B is located at Prologis Fokker Logistics Park at Fokkerweg 300, in Oude Meer, Europe’s largest privately owned, airport-linked logistics business park. Prologis Fokker Logistics Park currently offers around 170,000 square meters of modern logistics facilities able to accommodate a wide variety of international logistics service providers. The new DC2B building will have 16 docks and has been designed to be divided into two separate units, depending on customer needs. The building is particularly well-suited to air cargo-related logistics activities.
Sander Breugelmans, country manager, Prologis Benelux, said: “We want to offer our customers at Prologis Fokker Logistics Park flexibility in scale. This facility will feature high-quality specifications, as is customary in all Prologis developments. In addition, we are aiming for BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certification.”
Prologis is a leading provider of logistics real estate in the Benelux, with approximately 2 million square meters of logistics and distribution space as of September 30, 2018.
